When there’s no person manning the entry gate, is it okay to just go inside the theater without paying?
This was a question L asked himself and me before we get in the theatre because last time we were there, there was no one manning the gates and inspecting the tickets of people entering the gates. When we looked at what was best for us, we saw that it is okay to just get in without getting a ticket, but when we looked at what is best for all, (meaning if we own the business and someone will do that), both of us agreed that it was not best for all to just go in without a ticket, so we bought our tickets before we got in.
The personality that is us as the ego works from the starting point of self-interest. The Self that is one and equal as all life works from the starting point of what is best for all.
It is not okay to just go inside the theater without paying because that is the personality deciding from the starting point of self-interest. Buying a ticket before entering the gates of the theater leading to the doors of the theater is what is best for all, because we considered the consequence of our actions and we saw that, that would be fair to everyone concerned.
I forgive myself that i have accepted and allowed myself to be self-dishonest
I forgive myself that i have accepted and allowed myself to come from a starting point of self-interest
Self corrective statements:
I am one and equal as all life
I work for what is best for all
Self corrective application
When and as i see myself coming from a starting point of self-interest – i stop – i breath and let go. I realise that it needs my participation in considering – what is best for me only rather than what is best for all – for this to exist. I realise this is not what is best for me and not what is best for all. i stop participating.
